Hospital anaesthetist accused of sexual assaulting three women

A hospital anaesthetist has appeared before magistrates charged with sexually assaulting three women.

Dr Senthil Gopalakrishnan, who is currently suspended from his job at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, is accused of eight offences between August 2010 and April 2011 .

The 41-year-old, of Bingley Court, Canterbury, withheld his plea when he appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court today.

The case was adjourned until May 25, when Dr Gopalakrishnanhe is expected to have his case committed to Crown court for trial.

He was remanded on unconditional bail.
