A hot air balloon that touched down in a park in Ashford had not been forced to make an emergency landing, KentOnline can confirm.

This website inaccurately reported on October 9 that the balloon had made an unexpected descent in Victoria Park that evening.

We are happy to clarify the landing was entirely as expected and the balloon descended as normal before touching down safely.
