AN INTRUDER broke into a house in Dumpton Park Drive, Ramsgate, at three in the morning while a man was asleep in an upstairs bedroom.

The householder was woken by noises coming from the lounge. He confronted the intruder and asked what he was doing. The man pushed past the victim, ran to the back door and fled into an alleyway that leads into Sydney Road.

Police are now searching for a white man aged in his mid to late 20s, of stocky build and about 6ft tall. He had short, light brown hair and a moustache and wore a white sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes. Anyone with information is asked to telephone Thanet Police on 01843 231055.
