About 100 people have walked a parkland route to help a little girl find her voice.
Walk for Elke took place in Mote Park, Maidstone, on Saturday and should make at least £2,000 for five-year-old Elke Wisbey.
Elke, from Bearsted, was brain damaged at birth and cannot speak, walk or feed herself.
But her family and friends are determined to raise the £17,500 needed to provide her with a Smartbox - a technological device that would allow her to communicate for the first time, by using her eyes.
Among walkers was Elke's fellow Five Acre Wood pupil Owen West, who has developmental delay and cannot walk more than 100 metres unaided.
Owen, his brother Jamie, 14, and mum Shelley vowed to do the walk to help add money to Elke's appeal.
