Protestors forced traffic to a standstill in Elmstead Lane on Sunday.
Concerned residents joined the friends and families of those killed and injured on the road in Chislehurst to fight for better road safety.
Among those on the peaceful protest as part of Bromley Extra's Action Now campaign were friends of 16-year-old Alex Ludlow, who died last September.
They have been petitioning Bromley council to take action since Alex’s death seven months ago and have collected more than 300 signatures.
View our special video report, on the right Friend of Alex, Adrian Barrow, said: "We have all come on this march to show how strongly we feel that something should be done about Elmstead Lane. We have already had two deaths within five months and we feel this is completely unacceptable. We really hope that this march has shown people that something needs to be done."
Debbie Taylor, a close family friend of 12-year-old Steven Jeacock, who died after an accident on the road in January, also joined the march with her petition to the council to improve safety on the road.
She said: "It’s not a road, it’s a rat run. There are always accidents down there. Steven’s mum was here today not only for little Stevie but for the other boy who died and for all the other children who use this road."
Lynda Hulbert has been campaigning for road safety along Elmstead Lane since her daughter was killed in a car accident 16 years ago in Spain.
She said: "I thought it was a good turn-out and hope that it provokes some action from our reticent council. Of course we want a considered and effective solution this time, but over the years their previous attempts have failed beyond any doubt.
"All we are asking for is that the measures they put in place effectively enforce the existing 30mph maximum speed limit in our road. Then at least there is hope that the only flowers we shall see in Elmstead Lane in future will be those growing in our gardens."
