A 22-year-old Broadstairs man needed 28 stitches to sew part of his ear back on after he was hit with a beer glass. The attacked occurred outside the Escape nightclub on Margate seafront shortly before 4am on Saturday.

A police spokesman said: “The incident happened when the man was surrounded by a six people. It was a nasty wound and we want to hear from any witnesses.”
