Hunt for young woman's killer

POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after the body of a young woman was found in Shipbourne, near Tonbridge, at the weekend. A dog walker found the corpse at about 2.30pm on Saturday near a small car park on Forestry Commission land known as Dene Park, off Puttenden Road.

The victim was aged between 20 and 30, black or Asian, 5ft 4in with black collar-length wavy hair.

A post mortem revealed she died from multiple injuries. A spokesman for West Kent Police said; "It is a popular area for dog walkers and we are asking anyone in the area at the time to contact us urgently."

Police want to speak to people in the area between the early hours of Friday and 2.30pm Saturday. Anyone with information can call 01622 690690 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
