The Kent couple kidnap story has just taken a dramatic new twist - with a pirate gun battle in the Indian Ocean.

Seven suspected pirates have been arrested, and held by members of the European Union naval force.

It's believed there was a gun battle involving French personnel, with a boat believed to hold the couple feared kidnapped being monitored.

Paul and Rachel Chandler from Tunbridge Wells disappeared last Friday.

A massive rescue operation was mounted after they were thought to have been hijacked by pirates.
