A Broadstairs man this morning appeared in court and admitted killing his wife.
Gary Walker, 41, denied a charge of murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
Natalie Walker, 34, died on March 5 from stab wounds after being taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.
Walker, 41, from Grant Close, Broadstairs appeared at Canterbury Crown Court today in a black striped training top.
He was flanked in the dock by two nurses during the 10 minute hearing.
Prosecutor Oliver Saxby said the Crown Prosecution Service were seeking a report from an eminent psychiatrist before deciding if the case should go to a trial.
Walker was remanded in custody until the next hearing in October.
