Hythe Town boss Scott Porter is relishing the prospect of facing Dover Athletic in the semi-finals of the Kent Senior Cup at Reachfields next Tuesday.
The tie will revive memories of Hythe’s shock FA Cup win over the Whites on September 29, 2007, when Porter was assistant to former boss Paul Fisk.
He said: "Days like that are fantastic, and I keep reminding people about it, and it sticks in the memory.
"We enjoy playing against big clubs at our place, and there is nobody bigger than Dover in our area.
"We thrive on games like this, but even though we don’t know what sort of team they will field, it will still be a decent side, and our boys will be up for it."
Hythe are without a game on Saturday due to Croydon Athletic’s resignation from the Ryman League, but the squad will train instead.
Porter (pictured) said: "We were in on Tuesday night and want to keep the morale and momentum going, and keep the fitness levels up."Kieran Byrne is back to face Dover after a one-match ban, but Craig Thompson (one game) and skipper Dave Cook (three) are still serving bans.
