Drivers in Kent are being warned to be cautious on the roads this weekend as temperatures are set to fall as low as -7C.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across much of the South East for Sunday as the freezing weather continues.
Meanwhile, temperatures could reach as low as -7C in parts of the county on Friday after a week of travel chaos on the roads and rails.
Forecasters warned that the disruption could continue into Sunday, while pedestrians are being warned to watch out for icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The warning lasts from 3am on Sunday until 11am the same morning, and covers most of Kent except for the coastal areas running from Thanet down to the Romney Marsh.
During that time and in the days leading up to it, there is also a risk that snow and ice could be melted by the sun during the day, only to refreeze and create black ice when temperatures drop again.
The clear black ice is thought to be especially dangerous as it can lure drivers into a "false sense of security", according to the AA.
A number of vehicles have fallen foul of the weather recently, with Hardinge Road in Ashford closed on Tuesday after a black Peugeot 108 and a white electric-powered Volkswagen were in collision and both ended up with front end damage.
Commuters faced travel chaos on Monday morning as large parts of the UK were hit by ice, fog and snow.
