BLACK ice caused traffic chaos on the A228 between Colts Hill and Pembury, north east of Tunbridge Wells, early today.

Several vehicles were damaged as cars slid off the road or collided with other traffic.

The accidents caused traffic build-ups either side of the icy stretch as emergency services and council workers struggled to sort out the problems.
