BRITISH Transport Police are appealing to Kent commuters for help in identifying a man wanted on suspicion of taking indecent images of a woman.
Officers say that the woman's 33-year-old boyfriend confronted a man after she complained she was being filmed on an escalator at London Bridge station at around 5pm on March 16.
PC Rakesh Phian said: "The woman was going up the escalator with her partner when she felt something touch her from the back. When she turned she saw a male with a video camera filming up her skirt. Her boyfriend challenged the male, but the male ran off.”
Police have today released a CCTV still of a man they would like to speak to in relation to this incident.
The male was white, about 5ft 4in tall, with short cropped hair. He was wearing a white shirt, black trousers, a dark, light-weight jacket and was carrying a dark coloured rucksack.
Anyone with information about the male is asked to contact the Witness Appeal Line on 0207 391 5275 quoting background log B6 of 9/5/07.
