The Charlatans are to headline the main stage on Sunday night of this year's Lounge on the Farm Festival.

Formed in the late 80s, the group reached their zenith in the mid-90s with albums such as Up to Our Hips and Tellin' Stories.

The Indie rockers are in the second wave of acts announced to play during the festival at Merton Farm from July 6 to 8.

Other performers announced today are Fake Blood, Scratch Perverts, Caspa, Toddla T, Disclosure, Rudimental, Herve, Roni Size and Gemini - all of whom will play on the dance stage.

Meanwhile, acts for the Sheep Dip stage will include Jake Bugg, Niki and the Dove, Troumaca, The Good Natured, Peace, Pale Seas and Various Cruelties.

Brit Award winner Emeli Sande was among the musicians it was announced last month would perform at the festival.

The Wombats, Mystery Jets, Roots Manuva and drum 'n' bass star Goldie are also confirmed. It will be 7th year of the festival.

Tickets are available for the next two weeks at earlybird prices of £110 from The Farmhouse in Dover Street, Canterbury, and the Lounge On The Farm website.

After that, weekend prices are £115, with camping starting at £395 for four people.
