KENT Fire and Rescue chiefs and police are investigating a blaze which badly damaged the Deja Vu nightclub in Swanley, near Dartford, early today.

Firefighters were called to the club in London Road at about 3.30am. It is understood a number of people had to be evacuated.

It took fire crews about three hours to fully put out the blaze in the three-storey building. No one was hurt.

Police said the fire was being treated as suspicious. Most of the damage appeared to be confined to the rear of the building.
