A week after securing their seventh successive ENIHL Southern Championship, Invicta Dynamos finished their regular season in disappointing fashion with two defeats at the weekend.

They went down 6-2 at Oxford City Stars on Saturday and then lost 5-4 at Chelmsford Chieftains 24 hours later.

Invicta took to the ice for both matches without the injured Nolan Boike and Ryan Giles, while forwards Andy Smith and AJ Smith were also unavailable.

Against Oxford, Dynamos' goals came from Peter Vaisanen and Jack Tarczycki, and Vaisanen was also on target twice against Chelmsford, with Invicta's other strikes coming from Anthony Leone, pictured, and Joe Johnston.

With the title already under their belts, it was perhaps understandable Dynamos would relax slightly at the weekend butcoach Kevin Parrish must now ensure their play regains its usual intensity ahead of the forthcoming play-offs.
