Invicta Dynamos continued their superb start to the season with victory over Bracknell Hornets at the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday.
The 5-1 win was the Mos’ sixth in as many games this season and was achieved despite the absence of injured David Oliver and Swedish forward Johan Stenvall.
The visitors were also missing four key players and found themselves with a mountain to climb after the first period
Peter Vaisanen, pictured, gave Invicta the lead after less than four minutes before adding a second with a fantastic solo goal midway through the first period.
Nicky Lewis made it 3-0 and effectively sealed the win with six minutes remaining in the first period while Joe Johnston added a fourth before the period was up with the Dynamos short-handed.
Neither side found the net in the second period but the Hornets pulled a goal back three minutes into the final frame only for Andy Smith to restore the four-goal Invicta lead eight minutes from time - a goal which kept Invicta top of ENIHL Division 1 South on goal-difference ahead of Cardiff Dragons.
The Mos will take their 100 per cent record to Isle of Wight side Wightlink Raiders on Saturday before welcoming Streatham Redskins to Gillingham on Sunday in their first double-header weekend of the new season.
