It's goodbye Ally-Pally and hello ExCel

AFTER some 20 years hosting the London Motorcycle Show at Alexandra Palace, this year’s show has moved to the ultra-modern Docklands ExCel site; the show runs from Sunday, February 4.

Without doubt, pride of place at the show will be taken by Ducati’s mouth-watering new 1098 model debuting in the UK, alongside their road-going replica race bike the awesome Desmosedici RR with a price tag of £37,500 – if you could get one – allegedly all the pre-orders have been taken!

Piaggio are bound to have their brand new MP3 scooter, which will create a stir with its twin front-wheel set-up.

There’s also the chance to meet and talk to celebrity riders. After all the new 2007 season is only weeks away, and what a hum-dinger it’s going to be both in the domestic BSB and the all-new MotoGP series.

All the other major manufacturers and suppliers will be exhibiting and with spring just around the corner it’s usually a cramped affair with punters who have resisted spending Christmas money eagerly looking, wishing and perusing the after-market stands crammed full of goodies. There are usually some really excellent bargains to be had.

With acres more space at the new exhibition site show-goers should find it a refreshing and worthwhile journey.

Tickets for next month’s show cost £13 in advance or £16 on the door.

To get your tickets in advance either phone 0870 730 0049 or go online at www.londonmotorcycleshow.com.
