Multiple signal failures and buckled tracks are causing cancellations and delays across Kent and London today as train services struggle in the heat.
The high temperatures have caused signal failures across the network, including at St Pancras, Sevenoaks, Teynham and Faversham.
Network Rail engineers are attempting to fix the problems but many services are experiencing delays of up to 15 minutes, and several have been cancelled.
A Southeastern spokesman said passengers should check their journey details before they travel, and told KentOnline engineers would have the problems fixed as quickly as possible.
Buckled tracks are also causing problems.
Today's hot weather has made the steel expand, which can lead to tracks buckling under the weight of a train.
If that happens the lines must be closed and repaired.
Many trains are running slower today to avoid the risk of damaging the tracks.
