Iwade development gets green light

Swale Borough Council has granted outline planning permission for approximately 320 homes on the edge of Iwade.

“We have built prolifically in the area in the past and always found a strong demand for the homes,” says Jo Richards, marketing and corporate manager of Hillreed Homes.

“Iwade has a lot to offer home owners. For the commuter it is close to the A249 linking quickly with M2/M20 and Sheppey and there is easy access to Sittingbourne, Faversham, Canterbury, Rochester and Maidstone.

“The village itself has grown considerably in recent years but the expansion has been carefully managed and the street layouts, road calming and open spaces all make it an agreeable place in which to live.

“There are schools, shops, bus services and a host of local community facilities and activities.”
