A lorry has jack-knifed on the A2, blocking west-bound carriageway.
The crash happened between the A256 near Whitfield and the A260 at about 8.30pm.
The lorry has hit the central barrier and two lanes are blocked, although traffic is still getting through on the hard shoulder.
Highways Officers are on the scene.
