Sixteen jobs were lost when the Hempstead Valley branch of Principles closed down on Saturday.

Up to 2,300 jobs and 66 stores will be lost nationwide.

Administrators appointed earlier this month have been unable to find a buyer.

Principles outlets in Debenhams, including one in Chatham High Street, will buy most of the stock.

The chain also has stores in Ashford and at Bluewater.
