Kent recorded their second win in the Friends Provident Trophy in successive days beating Scotland by four wickets with 10 balls to spare in front of a big Bank Holiday crowd of around 3,000 at chilly Canterbury.
Originally set 228 to win, a 30-minute delay resulted in a revised Duckworth Lewis target of 206 in 44 overs but Kent contrived to make it difficult for themselves by losing three wickets in as many overs before finally getting home.
Joe Denly (pictured right) carried his bat to make 97 not out, off 129 balls with six fours and a six. But he was dropped twice in the 80s, the second time when two fielders Moneeb Iqbal and Neil McCallum collided with each other in the deep.
Robert Key (27) and Martin Van Jaarsveld (37) helped Denly provided Kent with a firm platform, but the loss of Darren Stevens, James Hockley, Azhar Mahmood in successive overs, then Geraint Jones, made for an interesting finish.
Scotland skipper Gavin Hamilton led from the front with 75 as they made 227-7, overseas recruit Cameron Borgas making 65.
Robbie Joseph (3-55) was the best of the Kent attack, which included Simon Cook for the first time this season after recovering from back trouble.
