Gillingham gained a point on Saturday and defender Joe Martin felt it was as much as they deserved.
Martin helped the Gills keep only their fourth clean sheet of the season, against third-from-bottom Bradford, but knew overall they were a disappointment.
"The conditions were difficult but we didn’t play well," said the 21-year-old left-back (pictured).
"It is a point, which is better than nothing. We had been playing well but it just didn’t happen for us.
"The gaffer told us it wasn’t going to be easy and I think they are better than where they are in the league really. We knew it was going to be tough and that’s the way it turned out to be.
"We were looking to come into the game and win because we had been on a good run, so it’s disappointing."
The Gills almost scored a winner in the dying minutes in a goalmouth scramble but had to settle for a draw.
"We could have nicked it at the end but we didn’t play well enough to win and it would have been a bit of a steal if we had," he said. "We just look forward now."
