What do Tony Blair, Jonathan Ross and Anne Robinson have in
common?
In recent years they have all been the big names burned atop the
bonfire at Edenbridge's fireworks night.
And this year they will be joined by another notorious figure -
Katie Price, aka Jordan.
A 25-foot effigy of the glamour model will be going up in flames
on Saturday, complete with the severed heads of Alex Reid (her
boyfriend) and Peter Andre (her ex-husband).
Every year around four thousand people watch a huge celebrity
replica filled with fireworks get blown up at the Edenbridge
Recreation Ground.
In 2008 Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand were the victims after
the public outcry over their phone calls to Fawlty Towers star
Andrew Sachs.
But event co-ordinator Charles Laver said no other celebrity has
grabbed more headlines this year than Jordan: "We hope she doesn't
take offence but we are only doing it for the fun of it."
A spokesman for Katie Price/Jordan said 'When I told Katie about
this she took it in great humour. Its been a very tough year for
Katie so she is pleased that some humour and fun has been taken out
of a year full of twists and turns!'
The Edenbridge Bonfire Night starts at 6.15pm on Saturday,
November 7,with a procession through the town centre before moving
onto the Recreation Ground.
