A man is facing jail after being caught with hundreds of pornographic images of children.
Paul King, 47, of Roffen Road, admitted nine offences of possessing indecent photographs of a child in May last year.
He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
Police found over 1,000 images, ranging in levels of seriousness, on his computer.
At the same hearing King denied one similar charge of possession, as well as eight offences of possessing extreme pornographic images relating to sexual acts with animals.
Sentencing was adjourned until May. Releasing King, formally of High Street, West Malling, on bail, Judge Jeremy Carey said custody was a possibility.
“You are now a sex offender,” he remarked. “You have got to take the consequences of your offending.
"Whatever those consequences are, have the backbone to face up to them.”
