A jury trying a cage fighter over Britain's biggest cash robbery has been discharged after failing to reach a verdict.
Paul Allen, 30, of Huntersfield Close, Chatham, was accused of involvement in the £53m heist at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge in Kent.
The site's manager and family were kidnapped and members of staff
tied up during the armed raid in February 2006.
Allen denied charges of conspiracy to kidnap, rob and possess firearms.
A hearing will be held at the Old Bailey on Tuesday January 13, where a date for a retrial will be discussed. Allen has today been remanded in custody.
Kent Police and the CPS South East Complex Unit are now discussing the options open to them, including a possible retrial.
