Kent actor Orlando Bloom has become a dad for the second time.
His popstar fiancée Katy Perry has given birth to their first child together, a baby girl named Daisy Dove Bloom.
The announcement was made on behalf of the couple by children's charity Unicef, for which the couple are goodwill ambassadors.
It shared a post of a black and white photograph of the couple holding hands with their newborn daughter on Instagram.
In the photo Perry's thumbnail features a decorated daisy in a nod to the name the couple have chosen for her baby.
Canterbury -born star Bloom, 43, is already a father to nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
The celebrity couple started dating in 2016 before getting engaged in February last year.
Resharing the organisation's post on Instagram ,Orlando and Katy told the charity: “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.
"But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was.
"Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.
"Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases.
"As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.
"As Unicef Goodwill Ambassadors, we know Unicef is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare."
A page has been set up on the Unicef website to celebrate their new arrival, with an option to donate either a one-off payment or regularly to the charity
