A UNIQUE online survey is keeping track of whether respondents think Tony Blair's government is for or against British motorists.

Most UK motorists - 61 per cent - are convinced the government is anti-motorist. In addition, only seven per cent believe our politicians in power are pro-motorist and 31 per cent say they are neither.

That is according to part of a new online survey of British motorists taking place on the website of car breakdown service Autonational Rescue, at www.autonational.co.uk.

Asked about speed cameras, so far in the survey drivers are split on whether there are simply too many or not enough of them.

Nearly 48 per cent of motorists say there are too many speed cameras, but a further 34 per cent believe there are just enough cameras and another 17 per cent that there are too few of them.
