Kent spinner James Tredwell might have to get to the West Indies by boat, train and plane at the end of this week.

Tredwell, pictured, is part of the England ICC World Twenty20 squad which is due to fly out on Sunday.

But that plan could be thrown out if the volcanic ash cloud that has grounded planes around Europe remains for the next 48 to 72 hours.

"I'm still waiting but it may be that we need to find another way of getting out there," said the Ashford-born 28-year-old.

"The plan was that we leave this Sunday and that may still be the case.

"Trains and boats have been mentioned to get to the continent and then the plan is to get to Dubai and then on to the West Indies."
