One goal was enough for Kent on Saturday

Kent won the FA County Youth Cup at Priestfield on Saturday with a single goal deciding the outcome of the final.

A goal from Andrew Miller, deep into the second half, won the cup for Kent’s under-18 side on Saturday for the first time in the association’s history.

Over 1,000 people watched Kent beat Sheffield and Hallamshire FA in the final, having lost out in the final last year to Birmingham.

The game itself was far from a classic and Kent were relient on keeper Jack Rankin during the second half, as he made a couple of great saves.

The winning goal came on 77 minutes when Miller’s shot on the edge of the area took a deflection to leave Sheffield’s keeper stranded and beaten.
