Kent braced for predicted blizzards

Kent commuters are facing a difficult journey to work on Monday if forecasts of heavy snow prove to be correct.

The Met Office is prediciting the first wintry flurries will fall in the county today with blizzards sweeping across the area on Monday and Tuesday with as much of 4in of snow in some areas.

Drivers are being warned to take extra care with temperatures predicted to fall to overnight lows of -6C.
