AN 85-year-old woman pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by a car being driven by a man from Kent.

The tragedy happened in Lewes Road, Ringmer, east Sussex on November 18. The victim has been named as Maureen Collins who lived in Ringmer.

The car driver, a man in his 30s, comes from Cranbrook. He has not been named.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said officers still wanted to hear from anyone who witnesseds the tragedy.
