It's been a busy schedule of late and on Thursday we have the biggest game of our season – and we go in as underdogs!!

Surrey have the superstar line-up, of course. But there is no doubt that we can upset what everyone expects.

Whatever happens, we will still have everything to play for when we head to Chelmsford for Friday’s game against Essex.

Last Friday’s t20 game against Sussex at Canterbury was a nightmare for the team and me personally.

The dropped catch off Matt Prior was a big disappointment and Stevo keeps telling me how much he would have liked to get a wicket with his first ball, particularly as it was his first ball in the competition this summer.

But the simple matter is I couldn’t see a thing, especially without sunglasses on and even with them on it was still hard.

It does seem that our team is doomed when we are live on Sky. However, we have got some confidence from the four-day game against Surrey, despite the final result.

Keysy and Blakey, in particular, have found some form which is great going into the t20 game on Thursday.

I reckon Keysy would still be playing for England if he played every game at the Oval.

I was disappointed as it was the first proper flat pitch we have come across and I didn’t cash in. I was hoping for a big one this week but it wasn’t to be. I have got to learn to be more consistent.

David Balcombe has come into our team and bowled well. It would be nice to see if we could potentially sort out a deal for him in the future. For people who want to know what he is like, he is an intelligent version of Matt Coles.

I don’t think I can look ahead to Sunday’s Holland Pro40 game or the Gloucestershire championship match, which starts on Wednesday, as these two t20 games are our focus.

We would like to see as much support as possible for the next two games.

I think Jarre (Martin van Jaarsveld) and Relfy (Phil Relf) are bringing their new best mate Will I am, from the Black Eyed Peas, to the Surrey game for support too.

They met him in a restaurant on Tuesday when Phil’s wife Sam went over and introduced themselves. They talked about it all Wednesday.

Still it’s always good to have a famous singer as a Kent fan!

Hopefully, I will be writing my article next week with a place in the quarter-finals secured.
