Steven Rowe was the hero as Sibton Park recorded their first victory at Kent League Premier Division level with a 42-run win at Blackheath.

Jahid Ahmed grabbed 5-26 as Park were dismissed for 162, number eight Rowe top-scoring with 74 and helping the visitors recover from 82-7.

Rowe then dominated with the ball, taking an incredible 7-27 off nine overs, and also holding a catch, as the hosts were dismissed for 120 in just 32 overs.

George Wells (69) provided the only real resistance for Heath.

Lordswood set down a marker for the new season with a 40-run opening day win over title-chasing Hartley CC.

Kevin Jones cracked 43 from 20 balls to help the hosts to 218 all-out and despite Dan Stickels leading the reply with 65, Hartley were dismissed for 178 inside 40 overs.

Skipper Thomas Harvey's fine display with bat and ball helped The Mote start the campaign with a 55-run win at Bickley Park.

The visitors were restricted to 195-9, despite Harvey's patient 70, but the hosts were always facing a struggle to reach their target and Harvey snatched 4-22 off eight overs to help dismiss Park for 140.

Michael Lawrence hit an unbeaten 87 to help Bromley to a seven-wicket win at Sevenoaks Vine.

Lawrence cracked 15 boundaries in his innings as Bromley made 197-3 in reply to the hosts' 194-7 from 55 overs.

Opener John Bowden made a fine 76 before being run-out for Vine.

Bexley had to settle for a winning draw in a run-fest at home to Tunbridge Wells.

Jack Bell paced the hosts innings with 75 and Min Patel added 69 as they were eventually dismissed for 266.

The visitors never looked like reaching their target but Evert Bekker (57) and Chris Williams (59 not out) helped their side cruise to 202-5 at the close.
