Video: Kent reacts to
figures showing the recession is over

by Vanessa Baffoe

Official figures may show the UK economy is finally out of
recession, but these people from Kent think there is still a long
way to go.

Stats released on Tuesday said the economy grew by 0.1 per cent
in the last three months of 2009, going against the trend of
previous figures where the economy contracted for six successive
quarters.

Sanjay Raval, owner of Rochester's City Wall Winebar, told us
trade is still slow and 0.1 per cent is extremely low.

He said the economy would need to see at least a three per cent
growth before people can feel confident the recession is absolutely
over.

We went out on the streets to get people’s views - watch the
video above to find out what they said.
