Kent will be hoping for good weather and big crowds when the Tunbridge Wells Festival begins at The Nevill this week.
Leicestershire are the first visitors for an LV=County Championship Division 2 match starting on Sunday.
The Spitfires then start this summer’s Friends Provident t20 campaign with matches against Somerset Sabres next Friday and Hampshire Royals two days later.
Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club chairman Steve Green said the ground was looking in good shape ahead of the festival.
"The only thing we haven’t had there is much rain but the outfield and wicket have been watered regularly," he said.
"The rhododendrons are out and everyone is looking forward to a good week."
Former Kent wicketkeeper Paul Dixey could face his old club for the first time, after being released last season.
The 23-year-old Canterbury-born player joined the Grace Road staff this summer.
And Kent officials are predicting a sell-out against Marcus Trescothick’s Somerset side, warning people without tickets to buy early to avoid disappointment.
