Kent rises to beautiful sight

Kent experienced a beautiful sunrise
this morning - and you've taken some great pictures.

The county was plunged into an array
of yellows, oranges, reds and blues thanks to the perfect
combination of weather.

We've been sent
these colourful snaps after asking our Twitter followers
(@Kent_Online) to send us their pictures.

County weatherman Shaun Maltby, who runs www.kent-weather.co.uk, said the stunning sunrise was because of a cold front approaching coupled with high pressure allowing for cloud to become thin.

He said: "We have the sun low on the
horizon still at this time of year causing light to hit the
moisture at just the right angle allowing a deep spectrum of
colours. This perfectly timed combination of factors tied in
nicely."

Highs of 12 celsius are predicted for
today - with clear skies overnight meaning lows of two celsius by
tomorrow morning. There is even the chance of frost.

The cold spell will continue into
Friday night and Saturday morning with cold, frosty nights on the
cards with lows of minus two celsius.
