Thousands of pupils will sit the Kent Test today in a bid to secure a place at the county's grammar schools.
The number of Kent primary school pupils due to take the exam today is 10,813.
But, this doesn't mean every one of them will turn up - last year 13,704 registered to take the test in the country but more than 700 didn't actually sit it.

There's been around 700 more entries to the test this year compared to 2015.
There were 4,803 places at grammar schools for the start of this academic year - 36 more than the year before.
More than 4,280 pupils were accepted into Kent grammar schools this academic year - last year the figure was at 4,043.
Robert Bailey, a lecturer at the University of Kent, had a go at some questions on an old Kent Test.

He took the 13 plus more than 20 years ago, which got him into grammar school.
He said: "In Kent when I did it it was a different system. I took the 13 plus then was admitted into grammar school.
"Having had a go at a Kent Test today I have to say it tested me a lot more than I probably thought it would - being a test designed for 11 year olds.
"I can't remember what the test was like when I did it but if someone asked me to guess some of the questions that were on it now I don't think I would have guessed there would be quite as much algebra.
"There's some quite complicated maths questions."
