It may not be quite the heatwave we were all hoping for, but nonetheless Kent will enjoy some very pleasant weather this weekend.
The Met Office predicts highs of 19°C tomorrow (Friday, April 15), and it is expected to stay dry all weekend.
Whether you were wishful for a day out at the park with the kids, or an afternoon in a beer garden with friends, this bank holiday weekend is set to deliver with temperatures in the high teens across the board.
The highest temperatures will be seen at noon tomorrow, with Dartford, Gravesend and Edenbridge enjoying highs of 19°C.
Historic Rochester and the city of Canterbury, both popular tourist spots with religious significance, will also enjoy the sun with highs of 18°C on Friday.
For those hoping for a day at the beach, temperatures will also reach 18°C in Whitstable but just 15°C in Margate.
Perhaps not quite the scorching weather needed for a sunbathe and dip in the sea, but certainly warm enough for a stroll and an ice cream.
Moving into Saturday, April 16, and it should remain dry with minimal cloud cover across Kent.
Although it will not be quite as warm with temperatures dropping by one or two degrees across the county.
It will then get slightly cooler again on Sunday, April 17 - temperatures at the coast remaining at around 14°C, but north Kent could continue to see highs of 17°C.
On Easter Monday, it will be slightly colder again but temperatures are still predicted to stay in double figures.
So, the county will be treated to a delightful four days of sunshine and it is in fact starting to get slightly warmer, but we may have to wait a few more weeks to get out the barbecues and paddling pools.
