Kent is set to be lashed by severe gale force winds as autumn hits the county with a vengeance.
Trees could be damaged as we wave goodbye to summer temperatures and sun tan lotion and say hello to macs and umbrellas.
It comes as roads were flooded as the county suffered several hours of continues downpours yesterday.
Met Office forecaster, Helen Chivers, said: "The autumn's definitely with us and we've got a big area of low pressure that has brought all the rain over the last 24 hours.
"It looks as though the heaviest of the rain is getting out of the way but the winds will pick up and we can expect to see some very strong winds through today with gusts of up to 60mph.
"The winds in the Dover strait and the English Channel could be up to severe gale force and there might be danage to trees, which could lead to debris on the roads so travelling conditions could be very difficult."
She said the fine weather had brought us some sunshine, but the weather could change dramatically at this time of year.
"The weather through this week is going to stay very unsettled, the low pressure we have at the moment is never going to be too far away from the UK, so we can expect further spells of rain, but hopefully some brighter weather coming along from time to time as well."
