Kent's radio station kmfm has added almost enough new listeners to fill the O2 arena, new data has shown.
According to the latest figures, 178,200 tune in to KentOnline's sister radio station every week.
The figure – from RAJAR, the industry measurement for radio stations across the UK – is an additional 15,000 people compared to last quarter.
This would be enough to almost pack out the O2 arena in London.
The new figures also say that listeners are tuning into more than one million hours of coverage every week.
This includes the all new kmfm breakfast show with Garry and Chelsea, weekdays from 6am.
A station representative said: "Having just celebrated Local Radio Day it's fantastic to be able to celebrate these numbers. Local radio is important to audiences, commercial advertisers and the team behind the scenes that put together every show you hear on kmfm and podcast you stream.
We hope should anyone get a knock on the door from RAJAR they welcome the researchers in and tell them that you listen to kmfm; because it keeps local radio alive."
You can listen to kmfm on FM, DAB, App and Smartspeaker by saying "Play kmfm".
In the coming weeks, you will hear about the road safety campaign 'Be Bright Be Seen', the launch of the 'Give A Gift' toy appeal with Bargain Hunter UK, and the 'Cash for Christmas' giveaway.
