A 50-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 months in jail after admitting a breach of his sexual offences prevention order.
Kevin Fisher, previously of Waterloo Street, Maidstone was convicted at Maidstone Crown Court of breaching the order made against him in January, which banned him from being in contact with children.
It was heard Fisher attended Bewl Water Sailing Club and interacted there with children under 16, after the order was imposed. No further offences have been disclosed to police.
Fisher was given an additional 16 weeks in prison on top of his original suspended sentence of two years.
Det Sgt Kerry Rothwell said: "I hope this serves as a warning to those who have sexual offences prevention orders imposed upon them. Such orders are put in place to safeguard the public and prevent further offences occurring.
"We will work to ensure these orders are rigorously enforced and robustly investigate any reports of breaches. Offenders can expect to face the full weight of any sentence imposed as well as further punitive measures."
