Knife-wielding robber strikes at store

POLICE are hunting a man who threatened staff with a knife during a raid at a Kent village store.

The raid happened at around 10.45pm on Tuesday at One Stop in Bewsbury Cross Lane, Whitfield, near Dover. The shop is known locally as The Triangle Stores.

He escaped with cash and phone cards.

The man is described as white, aged between 25 and 30, of medium build and around 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a hooded, dark-grey camouflage jacket, dark jeans, woollen gloves and white trainers.

Police say he spoke with a Liverpudlian accent.
