A MAN has died from a knife injury following an incident in Allington Drive in Strood. Detectives are treating the death as suspicious.

Police say it appears the injuries happened as a result of a domestic incident.

Five police cars, two ambulances and a paramedic car were called to the scene at around 11pm on Wenesday. Both a man and a woman were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but the man was dead on arrival.

The woman was later transferred to another hospital suffering from burns.

The man and the woman occupied a house in a terrace in Allington Drive that also includes a dentist's surgery. Neighbours said they had three children, including a boy aged 14 and a girl of 13.

One woman said she heard shouting before the police arrived on the scene.

No arrests have been made, but police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
