Pub landlords have come up with a bubbly idea that should give regulars a spa-kling time.

As other pubs dabble with pool tables or dart boards The Napier in Sheerness has just set up a spa in the garden for their customers.

Lee Harland and Kevin Calver, who run the pub on the corner of Alma Road and Marine Parade, got the spa off some friends.

At first they planned to keep it for themselves but, as it's a seven seater, they decided to dip their toes in the water of commercial spas.

The pair are now offering spa parties at the watering hole – and groups of people can hire it out along with its own surrounding area.

Mr Harland, 46, said it is secluded as they have put up fencing around it.
“We won’t just let anyone jump in there willy nilly – they have to hire it – but we think it’s quite therapeutic to sit in a garden with a nice bubbly bath.

“Every pub these days has got to think outside the box – look how many pubs have shut down in recent years.”

It costs £75 to hire the spa for three hours.
