Lineker, Lampard, Marco Pierre White and Pamela Anderson roll into Sandwich

A quiet east Kent town has had a touch of Hollywood with TV
presenters, pop stars and top chefs descending on it for
filming.

The people behind a new advert for Walkers crisps sent
footballer Frank Lampard, chef Marco Pierre White and even former
bay-watch actress Pamela Anderson to shoot the campaign in
Sandwich.

Crowds gathered in the town to watch the filming, which soon
became the town's worst kept secret.

Boy-band JLS made an appearance at Sandwich Tech sixth form
college, where they performed a lunch-time concert to the
star-struck students.

And racing driver Jenson Button swapped his Formula One car for
a black cab, to ferry locals around the town.

Footballer Gary Lineker, the long-standing star of the crisp
adverts, told KentOnline he had been trying to make the town more
exciting:

“As part of walkers, we think we can make any sandwich more
exciting. So we thought we would try the ultimate sandwich, which
is the town of.”
