LIVE: A-level results day 2015

The wait is finally over - today is the day thousands of teenagers across Kent found out their all-important A-level grades.

Our team of reporters and photographers have been at schools all over the county to capture the moment pupils discover if their hard work has paid off.

Teenagers across the county told our reporters how they felt after finding out their grades. Listen to their reactions here:

There were tears of joy and shouts of triumph as teenagers ripped open their results in Medway.

At Rochester Grammar, 87% of pupils achieved all grades A* to B and half of all grades achieved were A* or A.

Meanwhile, at Thomas Aveling School in Rochester, pupils achieved a pass rate of 100%.

This aspiring doctor from Ashford's John Wallis Academy is Bulgaria-bound after achieving the results he needed. Nicely done, Abhishek.

Cranbrook pupil Rafael Bertoli-Mitchell is taking a break from his studies to enjoy a gap year in Bolivia after achieving three A* grades and an A.

Meanwhile, his friend James Foster is off to study mechanical engineering at Bristol after gaining an two A*s and an A.

Another impressive student here. Charlotte Crabb, from Ramsgate's Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School achieved four A* grades.

The 18-year-old is off to the University of Bath to read mathematics.

She said: "I'm really pleased, it's such a relief.

"I had a look online this morning to see if I'd got my place but I had to come to the school to check the actual grades."

Quite a few of Kent's schools are reporting their best-ever A-level results, including Northfleet School for Girls.

Another set of twins have achieved impressive grades. Well done to Victoria and Valeria.

It's a double celebration for this family as twins Chloe and Will Palmer bag all As and A* grades.

Deputy head boy Will got four A*s in maths, further maths, biology and chemistry. He's off to Cambridge University.

Chloe got three As in English literature, English language and geography. She's going to Kings College to study geography.

Will said: "There is a bit of competition between us but as our subjects were in completely different things, I don't think we really mind.

"It's such a relief to get the grades. Our mum was up at 3am as she was so worried!"

The overall pass rate at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Faversham was an impressive 99.4%.

We've just heard the number of top A-level grades has dipped for the fourth year in a row - but the overall pass rate has risen.

And here it is! The first "jumping for joy" photo. You can't have an A-level results day without one.

Here's a potential lawyer in the making. Canterbury College student Lucy Royle, 20, achieved an A* and two A grades, landing her a place at King's College London to study law.

She said: "I was up at 4am because of nerves. I thought the exams went well but you can never really tell. I'm really happy with my results but it hasn't sunk in yet."

Our fingers are crossed for everyone peering inside that all-important envelope today.

There's promising news from UCAS, as it's revealed a record number of pupils have been accepted into university.

Almost 410,000 have taken up places so far - a rise of 3% on last year.
