11pm - It's goodnight from me. Another early start. I'll be back here at 8.30am to see if Jen Wilson's South Africa can finish on a high and overcome Japan in their classification match for 9th and 10th place.

There's also the small matter of Lisa Dobriskey going in the semi-finals of the 1,500m tomorrow evening and the prospect of more medals boosting the Team GB haul.

10.40pm - Well it was a dramatic finale, but GB clung on and it finished 1-1.

8.20pm - I have to log-off for now. Check the final score on twitter at @kentonline2012 and I'll bring you Jackson's reaction later.

Oh dear. Spain have a PC.

8.18pm - We're in that ice castle of nerves I mentioned. It's cold and I want to go home.

Just four minutes to play. A point is enough. End-to-end stuff though.

8.14pm - GB living dangerously. Spain have earned another PC which was narrowly wide.

Seven mins to play. Why do they always do this to us?

8.05pm - Jackson saw a penalty corner effort blocked, which sparked a scramble which saw GB hit the bar and post by the looks of it.

Spain have a PC of their own seconds later and it's 1-1 through Pau Quemada.

Dig deep GB.

8pm - Second half has settled down into a fairly tame affair, but that suits GB just fine. However if Spain score this place will turn into an ice palace of nerves and fear.

Crowd singing 'I love you GB' - not heard that one yet. Good skills fans.

7.35pm - Jackson's goal separates the sides at the break, although James Tindall went close to a second seconds before the interval.

Half-way there, but Spain have looked tricky and dangerous in the GB half. No time for complacency please GB.

7.32pm - ASHLEY JACKSON HAS OPENED THE SCORING FOR GB.

Delicious penalty corner conversion low past Francisco Cortes to send the Bank barmy.

Come on GB, only 12 more needed. :)

7.20pm - The Mexican waves are out. Says it all really.

Apparently GB have not beaten Spain in a major tournament in 25 years. Good job we only need a draw then...

7.12pm - Pretty cagey stuff so far. GB won a penalty corner, but after the initial shot was blocked, Jackson bounced a half-chance wide with a reverse-stick effort.

Other than that.... it's all about the ro-ro subs!

7pm - Anthems sung. Players welcomed. Let's get going....

6.53pm - This ground has no roof. It's starting to rain. Oh.

6.42pm - The game is actually set up perfectly. GB are ranked fourth in the World, Spain are ranked five. Whichever side wins it goes through to the semi-finals. Poised.

Ashley Jackson has now scored 78 in 138 games at international level. That is pretty impressive, it has to be said.

6.32pm - I've taken my seat up in the press tribune at the 'Bank.

The Spanish are out on the pitch warming up and GB are trickling out to do likewise.

You know the deal by now. Lose = out. Draw = through in second. Win = Through in second. Win 13-0 = Through in first.

Sir Chris... soon to be Lord Hoy has just been bear-hugged by Sir Steve Redgrave. A man with five golds grasping onto a man who now has six. Heady days for us Brits, these.

6.07pm - CHRIS HOY TAKES GOLD IN THE KEIRIN. We're on 22 golds. That is immense. Hoy was magnificent.

It makes up for the fact that Pendleton had to settle for silver in her final race, controversially being beaten by Australian Anna Meares in her sprint final.

Pendleton looked to be 1-0 up, but she was relegated to 1-0 behind after Meares nudged her off the track. I know. It wasn't fair. Meares won the second well to prevail 2-0. But it left a bad taste in the mouth and tears on Vicky's face.

Oh well. Lord Hoy won. And Ashley Jackson is due up in 50 minutes!

5.20pm - LAURA TROTT TAKES GOLD IN THE OMNIUM. That is 21 golds for GB. It's getting silly. We're only little.

4.45pm - Chris Hoy is through to the final of the men's keirin at the Velodrome. This could be a very special afternoon.

4.25pm - Victoria Pendleton has eased into the final of the women's sprint, overcoming Germany's Christina Vogel 2-0.

Laura Trott goes into the final event of the Omnium in silver medal spot, but just two points behind the USA's Sarah Hammer.

Elsewhere the GB Dressage Team have made it a RECORD-BREAKING 20 GOLD MEDALS AT LONDON 2012. What a fantastic day. Hopefully Pendleton and Hoy can make it 21 and 22 later.

4.20pm - Afternoon. I've walked down through the packed Olympic Park to the Riverbank Arena.

GB will face Spain here this evening, looking to secure their passage into the last four of the hockey competition.

Bryony Shaw said she was 'gutted' to miss out on the medals at Weymouth.

2.24pm - No medal for Shaw I'm afraid. Spain claim gold, Finland silver and Poland bronze.

2.14pm - Shaw made a fine start, sitting in second early-on, but has since slipped to fourth and, more significantly, her medal rivals are all in the leading pack.

It will take a miracle for Shaw to secure a bronze now.

1.58pm - Nearly off at Weymouth. Shaw needs to be top-five at absolute minimum, but realistically a win or 2nd is needed, plus the Israeli and/or Finnish girl to be near the back of the field.

1.40pm - The medal madness continues. Nick Dempsey claims SILVER in the men's RS-X windsurfing. Let's hope Bryony Shaw can do likewise in the women's event which gets underway in about 20 minutes.

1.22pm - Wow. What a finish to the triathlon. GB brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee take GOLD and BRONZE respectively.

Ali crossed the line with a union jack around his neck. Do you reckon he might get his brother up on the podium with him for the anthem by any chance?

It means 19 golds for GB - the same as Beijing - and we have Vicky Pendleton and Chris Hoy and Laura Trott to come in the Velodrome this afternoon. Wow. Terrific Tuesday?

12.44pm - We're a little over an hour away from Bryony Shaw's medal race.

Morning session over here at the OS. We've seen all the big guns cruise through in the 200m heats. Bolt, Blake, Spearmon, Lemaitre - they're all through.

Shame that Idowu and Sayers failed to leave their mark on the Games though.

Here's hoping for some more medals this afternoon at the Velodrome though!

12.17pm - Well, the hockey has finished. 7-0. We know what we need. GB need to win 13-0 against Spain tonight to top the group. Fingers crossed eh?

Meanwhile Yohan Blake strolls through in the 200m. He, Bolt and Christophe Lemaitre of France look the class so far.

12.10pm - Sadly didn't get to ask Bolt what he makes of Gemili. But it might not surprise you to learn that he's very relaxed.

GB's Christian Malcolm puts in a nice bend to make the semi-finals of the 200m too. Good.

7-0 Australia.

11.51am - Bolt strolls home in first in 20.39. SOOOO easy.

6-0 Australia.

11.49am - Usain Bolt is up in the 200m. Places goes bonkers.

Aus are 5-0 up. GB need to win 11-0 at this rate and still 25mins left.

11.38am - Julia Bleasdale and Jo Pavey are through in the women's 5k heats after strong runs. Makes up for Idowu and Sayers a little bit, that!

11.25pm - Idowu improves slightly to 16.53 but it's only good enough for 7th in his pool. Only 12 make the final and he's 13th overall. Hugely disappointing.

Meanwhile Australia make it 4-0 before the break in the hockey.

11.20am - GB cyclist Laura Trott has slipped to silver spot in the Omnium after losing the 3k pursuit to the new leader Sarah Hammer of the USA. Only a point behind though and two disciplines to come.

GB are going to need to do something ridiculous like a 9-0 win to stand any chance of topping their group as Australia are 3-0 up before half-time against Pakistan.

11.10am - Idowu doesn't look fit to me. He aborts his second attempt and lies sixth in his pool.

Meanwhile Australia lead Pakistan 2-0 in the hockey, meaning GB will have their work cut-out to win the group.

However a point against Spain will get them through to the last four.

10.51am - Idowu is second in his pool with 16.47 thus far. Not amazing.

GB's Andy Turner stormed to victory in the final heat of the 110mH but defending champion Liu Xiang smashed into the first hurdle and crashed out.

He eventually hopped the course to rapturous applause, though he's definitely no Derek Redmond...

10.45am - GB duo Louisa Sawers and Abigail Edmonds are through to the K2 500m canoe semi-final while here Philips Idowu is about to contest the triple jump.

10.37am - Sayers is out too. She had a go with her final attempt but she was clearly injured.

She spoiled the pretty short throw again so three red flags and her Games is over. Just like that. very sad. We never saw the best of the British record holder.

10.27am - Sayers is really struggling with an elbow problem and should probably just pull-out. Two no-throws and she's grimacing. Don't hurt yourself Goldie, you don't owe us anything!

Promising GB youngster Andrew Pozzi didn't finish his heat of the 110mH. He looked to have tweaked something over the first hurdle. Utterly devastated as he walks away.

10.19am - Chris Hoy has sailed through in his keirin heat in the Thunderdome while here we've just seen GB's Lawrence Clarke did superbly to take second in his 110mH heat behind World Champ Jason Richardson. Huge noise. Great crowd today!

10.09am - We've also got the men's 110m hurdles just about to start. Lots of British interest in this too.

10.05am - Goldie Sayers' first throw is red-flagged. It wasn't very far anyway. Huge support though. Loudest morning session I've heard here.

Idowu is getting a great welcome as he emerges ahead of the TJ competition in front of the east stand.

9.50am - Good morning from the Olympic Stadium.

Another big day today, we're getting to the business end of the hockey competition and Ashley Jackson (pictured) and the GB boys need just a point from tonight's game with Spain to seal their place in the last four.

Their rivals for the two semi-final places from Group A, Australia and Pakistan, play at 10.45am so we'll know soon what it would take for GB to top the group and potentially avoid the dangerous Dutch on Thursday.

We've also got Bryony Shaw in action at 2pm in the medal race of the RS-X windsurfing competition at Weymouth.

I'll fill you in on the details later but she needs a big performance and a couple of other competitors to slip-up if there's to be a repeat of her bronze medal from Beijing.

I'm here at the athletics this morning to see GB's Phillips Idowu in the triple jump qualifiers, Goldie Sayers in the women's javelin qualifiers and some chap called Bolt in the 200m heats.
