Six Kent athletes are in with a chance of booking their spot in TeamGB for the London 2012 Olympic Games this weekend at the Aviva 2012 Trials at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.
Update - 6.15pm: Lisa Dobriskey must wait to see if she has done enough to secure a place at the Olympic Games.
The Ashford AC star put in a gutsy run of 4.21.91 in the 1,500m, to finish three seconds behind winner Laura Weightman who kicked for home at the start of the final lap and romped home by 20m.
Dobriskey - who has been plagued by injury problems in the past year - held off a strong challenge from Montana Jones in the home straight to sneak second by just three hundredths of a second in a photo-finish in just her third race of the season - all in the past fortnight.
The 28-year-old ran the Olympic A qualifying time last year and while her place is not guaranteed, unlike Weightman, her top-two finish at the Trials should still be enough to see her selected by UK Athletics.
She said: "It's been extremely difficult.I've worked so hard. I feel like I've climbed a mountain to be here today.
"To come second to Laura, who's running fantastically, I'm not going to complain.
"I wanted to get that second slot to give myself a chance of getting the time.
"I do have two A standards from last year, and I was fourth in Beijing and second in Berlin so I am selectable.
"Whether or not that means I'll be selected I don't know."
Update - 5.15pm: Just half an hour until Dobriskey's moment of destiny.
Hopefully she can follow in the footsteps of Dartford's Scott Rider who finished second in the men's shot put this afternoon.
The veteran threw a season's best 18.36m to take second behind Carl Myerscough, but he was still well short of the Olympic qualifying standard.
Update - Sunday, 9am: All eyes will turn to 1,500m runner Lisa Dobriskey on Sunday as she bids to make it a hat-trick of Kent athletes to secure their place in TeamGB for London 2012.
On Saturday evening Jack Green and Adam Gemili earned their places at the Olympics in a euphoric 55-minute spell and Dobriskey (pictured) gets her chance to join them in her final at around 5.45pm.
The Ashford AC star, 28, led from start to finish in her heat on Saturday afternoon to secure her spot in the final, despite it being just her second race of the season following an injury-ravaged year which has seen her tackle a femur injury and blood clots on her lungs.
Only the top-two finishers in the final will secure automatic TeamGB qualification, so long as they also have the Olympic A qualifying standard, with a third spot to be decided by a UK Athletics selection panel.
New Romney's Dobriskey - who does have the A standard - is likely to see her main competition come from Laura Weightmann and Charlene Thomas.
Also on Sunday afternoon Dartford's Scott Rider will take part in the men's shot put competition.
Update - 6.45pm: Phew. What a day. Two more Kent Olympians to look forward to supporting this summer. And here's hoping we get the hat-trick tomorrow with Lisa Dobriskey going in the 1,500m final.
There'll also be Dartford's Scott Rider taking part in the shot-put tomorrow afternoon so head back here for more updates.
Sincere congratulations to Adam Gemili and Jack Green, plus their friends and families, who will I'm sure enjoy a fun Saturday night.
And hope Lisa D gets a good night's sleep and is raring to go tomorrow.
A very inspiring day of athletics. See you tomorrow, hopefully for some more.
Update - 6.25pm: Adam Gemili is going to London too. If he wants to of course. He came under immense pressure in the 100m final but finished strongly to take second behind Dwain Chambers.
Chambers - who is yet to run the Olympic A qualifying time - won in 10.25, four hundredths of a second ahead of Gemili.
An ecstatic Gemili was draped in a TeamGB Union flag after the race and said: "I can't believe it. I've got to thank everyone that supported me.
"I was just trying to go and run and finish in the top two. Now I'm potentially going to the Olympics. I've got to talk to my coach about that."
Update - 5.55pm: Can Adam Gemili join Jack Green at London 2012. We'll soon find out. The final is at 6.17pm and Adam is in lane three, with Dwain Chambers in lane four and James Dasaolu in lane six. Live coverage on BBC2.
Update - 5.20pm: Jack Green is going to London. He stormed through the final 150m of the 400m hurdles final and finished second to World Champion Dai Greene in 49.88.
Green said: "It's a nice feeling. it's what we came here to do.
"The time wasn't great but the Olympics is the main focus and now I'm going to be there. I did what I came to do."
Well done Jack, from the whole of Kent.
Update - 5.10pm: Andre Wright misses out on a place in the final, finishing eighth in a strong semi-final.
All eyes on Jack Green now who is about to go in the 400m hurdles final. Top two needed for a TeamGB place.
Just another note, Shaunagh Brown of Gillingham was ninth in the women's hammer competition.
Update - 4.55pm:Adam Gemili cruises through to the 100m final in a time of 10.20. Looks like there's some more left in the tank too.
Andre Wright up in a few minutes.
Update - 4.25pm: Just a heads-up that Adam Gemili goes in heat one of the 100m at 4.52pm. You can watch it live on BBC2. He's far and away the fastest in the field on paper, but we all know races aren't run on paper.
He's in lane five and wearing his Blackheath & Bromley AC vest.
Andre Wright of Medway & Maidstone will be in lane two in the third heat, which should get underway around 5.04pm.
Jack Green's 400m hurdles final is due-off at 5.13pm. He's in lane five too. If he finishes top two then he automatically qualifies for TeamGB. Simple as that. Anything else... we'll cross that bridge later if we come to it.
Update - 2.45pm: Lisa Dobriskey led from start to finish in the opening heat of the 1,500m to secure her place in tomorrow evening's final in a time of 4mins 15secs.
In just her second race of the year following hip and lung problems, Dobriskey (pictured) said: "I was determined to enjoy it. I am embracing running again rather than being at home sulking."
TeamGB has only three places in the 1,500m in London and Dobriskey appealed to selectors to consider her for the discretionary third place, should she not be able to secure a top-two finish and automatic qualification tomorrow.
She said: "I hope the exceptional circumstances are taken into account. It was only my second race of the year. It's been a nightmare, but I am very much on the up and improving.
"I have so much more... and I have proved I can do it in championships.
"I'll just have to take it as it comes."
Update - 2.30pm: Shaunagh Brown finished in the top two in the women's shot put, but her best throw of 15.87m was well short of the Olympic qualifying standard and 26cm behind winner Eden Francis who looks certain to be Britain's sole entry into the event this summer.
The Gillingham star definitely looks like one to watch for Rio 2016, however.
Update - Saturday 2.15pm: Good afternoon and welcome to coverage of day two of the Aviva 2012 Trials at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
The opening day went as well as could be for our Kent athletes with Adam Gemili and Jack Green winning the heats of the 100m and 400m hurdles respectively, and Andre Wright also progressing to the 100m semi-finals.
All three will be in action later on Saturday, but first on our agenda is Lisa Dobriskey (pictured) who is due to go in the women's 1,500m heats which should start at 2.40pm.
Dobriskey won gold in the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and silver at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, but has endured an injury nightmare in the past 12 months with hip problems to contend with as well as blood clots in her lungs.
There would surely be no more popular Finalist if the New Romney ace were to turn it on this afternoon, in what will be just her second race of the year.
Gillingham's Shauna Brown is already underway in her shot put campaign and I'll let you know how she fares later.
The semi-finals of the men's 100m should be around 4.50pm with Jack Green's final at 5.15pm.
Update - Friday, 7.25pm: Jack Green is through to tomorrow's 400m hurdles final. He won his heat in a time of 51.5secs, but will hope for an improved time tomorrow. His qualifying time was slower than all his main rivals for a place in TeamGB so the lane draw tomorrow could be interesting.
Update - 6.40pm: Not long until Jack Green (pictured) lines up for the 400m hurdles heats, but some good news for Andre Wright who secured his place in the semi-finals of the 100m as one of the fastest-losers from the heats.
Wright's time of 10.65 was 22nd of the 24 qualifiers from the eight heats who will line-up in tomorrow afternoon's semi-finals.
Adam Gemili was fastest of all, finishing in 10.27 - just ahead of Dwain Chambers who won heat two.
Gemili said: "It was good. I wasn't looking to run a time in the heat. Everyone's just looking to get through.
"I didn't really feel any pressure, I never expected to be here - I just hoped to get to the final and see what happens."
Update - 5.30pm:Andre Wright of Medway & Maidstone AC must wait to see if he will make the semi-finals of the 100m after being edged out by just three hundredths of a second in heat three.
Wright (10.65secs) was just behind Mark Lewis-Francis, with Marlon Devonish winning in 10.5.
Wright must now hope his time is one of the fastest among third-placed finishers.
Update - 5.03pm: Adam Gemili wasted no time in booking his place in tomorrow afternoon's semi-finals of the 100m.
The 18-year-old Dartford ace romped to a comfortable win in the opening heat of the Trials in a time of 10.27secs.
Just three weeks ago Gemili (pictured) shot to prominence by running a blistering 10.08secs to become the fastest Brit, and second-fastest European this year.
In action on Saturday will be New Romney star Lisa Dobriskey, who will seek to put her injury woes behind her in the 1,500m heats, with the final on Sunday.
Also on Saturday Gillingham's Shauna Brown will take part in the women's Shot Put and Hammer while on Sunday Dartford's Scott Rider will take part in the men's Shot Put.
